"Through the twilight of all our fears is the greatest gift just waiting to be found - the gift of hope, the hope to strive and achieve those dreams we yearn to see become reality”
I don't even know how to begin writing about Akram. He isn't just a wonderful musician or a fabulous guitar teacher. He's also a friend. Having taught me towards the end of high school, his classes were the main parts of the week I was completely stress-free. I'm still shook by how he puts music to paper and always excited to see what he comes up with next.
I'm now at university abroad and I've managed to drag my guitar here from India. Playing the things he's taught me still instils in me a ridiculous level of happiness and calm during the tough part of my semesters. Always ready to teach me something new and always there to listen, I'm not sure just how to thank him for being the wonderful and talented person that he is.

When the strings strum a harmony and the body of the guitar learns to add a unique percussive element to the magic...
You know it's Akram at work.
When the music envelops you and caresses you into a melodious high...
You know it's Akram at work.
When simplicity takes its humble place and shows off its inimitable flair...
You know it's Akram at work.
I wish this young man all the very best and pray that his fingers continue to cast his amazing spell for many generations to come. God Bless.

Akram is one of few people that I had came across in my life that inspired me to take up a risk that I rarely would had taken up. Someone who puts up his experience and energy in his music as well as his teachings.
And if you don't agree with my words then drop in one of his gigs to know him in a much better way. Each one of his pieces has a special touch to it and you will feel the emotions flowing through it. With something unique every time you see him on stage. That touch also extend to his teachings which inspires you to keep on going.
Thanks Akram for being a wonderful mentor and an awesome musician.

One of the many things I fondly remember about meeting Akram for the first time, was that he made me feel so comfortable instantly. His patience and love for his craft are absolutely unparalleled.
He's truly one of those artists who surprises you and keeps you enthralled during every second of his performances. There's an undeniable magic in his fingers!
He's also a great conversationalist and can get along with absolutely anyone. His best feature though, has to be his handsome cat - Walter jr!

From ripping the Metallica "Master Of Puppets" solo on my first meet to recent late night private sneaks into his newest creations - Akram has always managed to leave me in awe. I've been fortunate to witness his journey from a guitarist to a musician - where he seamlessly transitioned from playing in a death metal band to one of the most intricate style of guitar. Arguably one of the most meticulously dedicated musician and a personal inspiration.
The new material has manged to incorporate percussive guitars, classical guitar playing, heavy metal, jazz, carnatic while paying attention to subtle intricate details. It personally feels like a beautiful journey with copious amounts of thought put into each song. I have utmost faith in the fact that the debut album will propel his music to an International audience and retain the freshness, uniqueness a lot of listeners are yearning for. Onward and Upward!!!

Akram Ul Haq is a remarkable guitarist. Having known Akram for many months and used his services as a guitar teacher, performer, composer, and recording guitarist, I cannot recommend anybody more committed, passionate and talented in the musical world. If you are looking for 1st class guitar instructor or a guitarist that can not only deliver a musical work accurately but express it with heartfelt emotion then Akram Ul Haq without question, the contact you need.
It's hard to express in words just how grateful I am to Akram Sir for all the lessons and all the guidance. I wouldn't be where I am today were it not for Akram never giving up on me, and pushing to get the very best out of me. I couldn't have hoped for a better teacher or a better friend…

Akram is a wonderful, superbly talented, musically sensitive guitarist. It has been a privilege to learn the basics of blues guitar from him, and it has been an extraordinary journey of melody, rhythm and harmony. The improvisation sessions thrown in add a special flavor to the classes.
Looking to continue with him as a guide on a lifelong musical ride.
Thank you, Akram, for your teaching and your friendship!

Classes with Akram were something that I looked forward to every week, regardless of whether I’d practiced or not. Conversations with about music and life in general are still something I hold very precious. He helped me discover not only the beautiful world of melodies and harmonies but also to understand and view the guitar very differently. From playing bluesy licks to chugging metal riffs to complex jazz voicings, he helped me realise how much music meant to me. He helped me in my early stages of discovering my sound and what music meant to me, and knowing that I can still call him and talk to him about almost anything is still something I cherish today.

Akram’s my mentor, period. No one else has been able to motivate me and encourage me to push beyond my own boundaries as much as he did. He genuinely believes in each and every one of his students, hoping to impart to them the expression of music that he experiences — and he’s managed that with me. Classes with him were never drab, they were always fun, always engaging and always filled with learning, be about music, life or otherwise. There’s a bond of friendship and care that he shares with everyone he teaches, and next to music, I’d say that teaching comes extremely naturally to him. Akram’s music is so emotionally mature yet raw and vulnerable at the same time. He says volumes without saying anything at all, it is always a journey to sit and listen to Akram, both live and otherwise. There’s a certain intimacy to his music but never overflows, it’s contained so tactfully; his years of learning and practice really shines through in the humblest, most sincere way possible. I’ve been moved to tears by some of his music, because it didn’t only tell me about his deepest emotions, but also spoke to mine.
